West Auckland Kitchen Renovation
Here is a job we did recently which shows the process of a kitchen renovation, this one having been done in a house in West Auckland.
Most times when a person wants to renovate a part of their home (or the whole home), it’s usually due to the fact that it’s outdated, starting to get run down, and the features and appliances are starting to age. Typically, it will look something like this:
As was the case here, the home owner wanted to renovate the property to bring it to market. This means they needed something new, modern, and which stood out. When we get a project like this, the first step is to create the concept based on the space we are working on. For this kitchen, this was the concept we came up with:
As you can see, the renovation concept featured an entirely new kitchen, new paint, floors and fixtures. Out with the old, in with the new. All parts of the design are then agreed upon by the home owners to ensure that the concept is what they are after. The new design gives the kitchen a crisp new look, and makes it suitable for modern day appliances.
This is the real life result of the kitchen renovation:
Some aspects were changed when it came to the final design but as you can see the concept gives a good indication as to the finished result. This is typical of the process of a home renovation and will be what you can expect when you renovate your West Auckland home.

Successful Bathroom Renovation In West Auckland
A bathroom renovation is an investment. An upgrade, big or small, can bring a tremendous amount of benefit. That is because a bathroom renovation is not just about form and aesthetics, it is also about function. Here are other benefits of upgrading a bathroom.
- Improves comfort
A small spaced bathroom can look larger with the right colors and patterns. A simple and boring bathtub can be transformed into a relaxing spa-like tub. An upgraded shower head provides an extra appeal into the overall look of the bathroom.
We spend an awful amount of time in the bathroom, it is only right to upgrade its looks and function to make our bathroom experience more comfortable and relaxing. With the right bathroom renovation, you can achieve the highest comfort and relaxation. That is the main benefit of upgrading your bathroom.
- Improves aesthetic
Another benefit of a successful bathroom renovation is that it makes the bathroom look so much better. In turn, it will make your home a lot more appealing. With an appealing bathroom and home, you won’t be embarrassed to show it off to your guests. It also gives you a sense of pride to have a beautiful and well-maintained bathroom.
- Increase the value
One of the reasons why bathroom renovation is a good investment is that it increases the value of your home. When you sell your home, potential buyers often look at the condition of the bathroom. If your bathroom is good, the potential buyers will be easily convinced that the whole house is a good buy.
- Save money on utilities
An old showerhead can be costing you extra money because it is not working that well. An old water heater may be working too much and consuming too much electricity. With bathroom renovation, these old fixtures will be upgraded and updated with the new fixtures that are more energy efficient. With this, you can save more on your utilities.
- Easy to clean
Newly renovated bathrooms are easier to clean because they are more open and spacious. Psychologically speaking, if you have a newly renovated bathroom, you have more drive to keep it clean and immaculate.
Here are just some of the benefits of having renovated bathrooms. We, at Maintain To Profit, provides a one-stop-shop solution for all your renovations, remodelling and rebuilding needs. Whether you plan to renovate your entire home or just looking to renovate a small section of your house, like the bathroom or kitchen, we got you covered.
Here is one of the successful bathroom renovation we did in West Auckland. Our client is planning to renovate two of his bathrooms, the ensuite and the main bathroom.
We’ve visited his place and made an assessment on the bathrooms.
Ensuite Bathroom
The ensuite bathroom is a little small. It has a toilet, bathtub, vanity and shower. There is also a heating system installed. The tiles are colored cream, and half of the room is tiled. The shower is a floor standing shower with glass frame. The vanity has a big mirror hanging on the wall with a sink that has cabinets. The bathtub is a corner tub that is adjacent to the toilet.
This is how the ensuite bathroom looks like:

For the renovation of the ensuite bathroom, we will have to remove the toilet, bathtub, vanity, and the floor-standing bath. With this, we need to rework the plumbing.
We also need to remove the tiles. The ventilation will need to be replaced with something new, as well.
For the floor-standing bath, it will remain in the same position, but we will replace it with a custom-built tiled shower frame with glass.
For the vanity, it will be in the same position, but we will replace it with a smaller one, like a metre wide size to give more room in the bathroom.
With the bathroom renovation, we aim to make it look more spacious but also functional. We aim to provide a more relaxing and comforting feel inside the room.
Main bathroom
The main bathroom is composed of a shower, a vanity and a bathtub. The bathroom is big and spacious, but it needs a little revamp to make it look more comfortable and relaxing.

For the renovation of the main bathroom, there is a wall beside the shower that needs to be removed. We will also need to remove the shower and build a new one. For the shower, we will install a custom-built tiled shower frameless glass once the wall comes out. It will be a floor-standing bath.
The vanity will stay in its place as well as the heating system. The ventilation will need to be replaced to the corner near the door. We also need to retile the floor. The retiling will be from floor to ceiling.

Successful Renovation at Archmillen Ave Pakuranga Heights
Before Photos, not great as the house was full.
Full interior and exterior cosmetic renovation of 3 bedroom house in Pakuranga, completed by the Rodney team for one of our first ever renovation clients who only wanted to work with Mike and the team. The property has been inherited and retained as a rental and required a major over hall to bring it up to standard whilst keeping the costs as close to 10% of the properties value as possible.
In the kitchen we removed the doors into the laundry and reinstated the opening to the hallway to open up the space and improve the flow from the front door to the rest of the property. All new quality cabinets with soft close runners & hinges, composite stone benchtops and tiles splashbacks to give a durable and modern finish.
BEFORE
AFTER
The bathroom has been increased in size by moving the HWC outside and the layout improved by installing a large 1200 x 900 shower and moving the vanity away from below the window.
BEFORE
AFTER
The rest of the interior has been fully repainted in a light neutral colour scheme and a durable plush cut pile carpet installed to complete the look.
Outside we have washed and painted the exterior using a fresh white on the cladding and a contrasting dark grey on base boards and trims. A new and slightly larger deck has been added to give a functional outdoor entertaining space.
We have the latest after photos on our video below.
